The most experienced private hospital in the country.
Spouses Enrique Strachan-nationals and Irish-Scottish Susan Strachan, who were evangelical missionaries, arriving in Costa Rica in 1921 and provide free medical services to the needy and especially to children. Thus founded the Clinica Biblica, which emerged as a pediatric center, but then expanded with a maternity and surgical clinic, and a School of Nursing.
Now in the hands of ASEMECO, continues to provide services to the needy, and financed with the services provided to those who can afford them, and self-financing to continue its mission of helping people who need it.
As an example, the Hospital Clinica Biblica away one third of its profits to be allocated in Social Action.
